Additionally, overall anti-Altebrel antibody levels were associated with lower trough drug concentrations, whereas no clear correlation was observed between neutralizing antibodies and serum drug levels. These results underscore the distinct functional roles of various antibody types, highlighting the need for future studies to elucidate these underlying mechanisms and clarify their clinical implications.
The examination committee comprised:
* Professor Dr. Harith Khalid Mohammad Al-Qazzaz – College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul – Chair
* Assistant Professor Dr. Rima Ata-Allah Jamil Hijazeen – School of Pharmacy, University of Jordan – Member
* Lecturer Dr. Salah Mohammad Amin Al-Sarraf – College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul – Member
* Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Mohammad Al-Adul – College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul – Member and Primary Supervisor
* Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Rahman Younus Mulla Dhannoon – College of Medicine, University of Mosul – Member and Co-Supervisor
This defense aligns with the College of Pharmacy’s commitment at the University of Mosul to support postgraduate students and promote rigorous scientific research, thereby advancing biomedical knowledge and improving clinical and pharmaceutical outcomes.
At the conclusion of the defense, we extend our best wishes to student Anfal Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Allah Al-Qadhli for continued success and achievement in her academic and professional career.

College of Pharmacy Discusses Master’s Thesis on Anti-Etanercept Antibodies in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis The College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul hosted, on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Master’s thesis defense submitted by postgraduate student Anfal Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Allah Al-Qadhli, entitled: > “Clinical Prevalence of Anti-Etanercept Antibodies and Its Impact on Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients Receiving Altebrel” > The study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of anti-etanercept antibodies among Iraqi patients with rheumatoid arthritis receiving Altebrel (etanercept biosimilar), and to determine their impact on disease activity and therapeutic efficacy.
