It plays a pivotal role in organizing, monitoring, and developing the academic systems adopted at the University of Mosul, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and international standards for quality assurance in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>The Division oversees the implementation of various academic systems, particularly the <strong>Bologna Process<\/strong> and the <strong>European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)<\/strong>. It also monitors the implementation of other academic systems and provides technical and academic support to colleges and academic departments. Through these functions, the Division contributes to the development of academic programs, the achievement of learning outcomes aligned with labor market requirements and academic accreditation standards, the enhancement of the quality of the educational process, and the improvement of institutional performance across the University.<\/p>\n<h1>Duties and Responsibilities of the Academic Systems Division<\/h1>\n<h2>1. Monitoring and Implementing the Bologna Process<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervising the implementation of Bologna Process requirements in colleges covered by its application.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the implementation of the <strong>European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)<\/strong> and ensuring that credits are calculated accurately in accordance with ministerial regulations and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the implementation of study plans and academic programs in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Process.<\/li>\n<li>Providing guidance and instructions concerning the implementation of the Bologna Process and addressing challenges encountered by colleges during implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the completion of quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements associated with the Bologna Process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2. Monitoring Approved Academic Systems<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervising the implementation of the academic systems adopted by the University, including the annual system, semester system, course system, and credit-hour system.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the implementation of instructions and decisions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research concerning academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing proposals for the development of academic systems and providing technical advice and recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with colleges to ensure consistency in implementation procedures and to address academic and administrative challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. Management and Development of Curricula and Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring the development and updating of curricula in accordance with scientific developments and contemporary academic standards.<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical support to academic departments in formulating and developing <strong>Learning Outcomes<\/strong> in alignment with the National Qualifications Framework and academic accreditation requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the alignment of learning outcomes with the objectives of academic programs and labor market requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the review and periodic updating of program and course specifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>4. Academic Support and Guidance<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Receiving and addressing inquiries and observations from colleges, academic departments, academic staff, and students concerning academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical guidance on the implementation of the Bologna Process and other academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing guidelines, manuals, and explanatory instructions related to academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Participating in organizing training workshops and awareness-raising seminars on the implementation of academic systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. Preparation of Reports and Statistics<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Collecting and analyzing data related to the implementation of academic systems across the University\u2019s colleges.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing periodic reports and statistics on the level of implementation of the Bologna Process and other academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Developing performance indicators related to academic programs and submitting them to the Department and University administration.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining up-to-date databases that support planning and decision-making processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>6. Coordination and Follow-up with Colleges and Relevant Authorities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinating with colleges and academic departments to ensure the effective implementation of academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the implementation of ministerial decisions and instructions related to academic affairs.<\/li>\n<li>Addressing technical and administrative challenges associated with the implementation of academic systems in cooperation with the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with departments of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and specialized committees concerning the development of academic systems and curricula.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>7. Development of Academic Systems and Digital Transformation<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring the development of electronic systems for managing academic programs and credit hours.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting digital transformation in the management of study plans and academic records.<\/li>\n<li>Proposing technological solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of academic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Participating in the development of academic databases and their integration with the University\u2019s various electronic systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>8.
