Additionally, it focuses on preparing and equipping sports fields and halls that meet high standards.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h3><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><strong>Sports Sector:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The division aims to improve students&#8217; physical fitness and elevate their technical performance across all games and competitions. It also seeks to discover and nurture athletic talents, and to form college representative teams in various disciplines. Politics affects sports through legislation, funding, and official stances, such as boycotts or support for major events. Conversely, sports influence politics by promoting national identity, shaping public opinion, serving as a diplomatic tool between countries, or highlighting a country\u2019s soft power.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop included an explanation of the duties and role of the division, which focuses on supporting sports, artistic, cultural, and scouting talents.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College and consisted of two lectures delivered by Dr. Omar Abdulaziz Al-Zubaidi, Head of the Division, and Assistant Lecturer Omar Othman Ibrahim, Head of the Cultural Unit. The trip was aimed at all members of the college, including faculty, staff, and students, led by the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yaseen, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Musa.<\/p>\n<p>The trip included a field tour inside the historical city (located 80 kilometers southwest of Mosul), which is considered one of the most prominent archaeological sites in Iraq. Participants explored the archaeological landmarks, linking the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures with Iraq\u2019s rich historical and cultural reality.<\/p>\n<p>The trip also featured recreational and social segments, including dialogue sessions on the importance of cultural tourism and its role in strengthening national identity. It took place in a friendly atmosphere that reflects the college\u2019s commitment to providing a comprehensive university environment filled with affection, harmony, and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>The iftar was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tarek Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir. The event was also honored by the presence of the Head of Mosul Churches for Syriac Catholics, Father Raed Adel.
