Political Science is one of the most intellectually rich and wide-ranging academic disciplines, encompassing diverse fields of knowledge. At the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, the program is designed to provide an exceptional educational experience. The program places the individual and society at the center of its academic focus, whether in terms of major political theories or the analysis of public policies and decision-making mechanisms within states. The program attracts considerable interest, as some students are drawn to the breadth of the field and the diversity of its issues, while others view it as a gateway to specialized study in a particular area. All students are given the opportunity to specialize in one of the available study tracks, such as International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Iraqi and Arab Politics, beginning at the end of their first year.<\/h4>\n

          The Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Political Science at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, is aligned with Level 6 of the Iraqi National Qualifications Framework (INQF).               The Bachelor of Science in Political Science is a four-year, full-time undergraduate program, distributed over eight semesters, with a total of 240 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits. The program is delivered in accordance with the Bologna Process and adopts a student-centered learning approach through the integration of theoretical lectures in the fields of international relations, public policy, political systems, and strategy, in addition to case-based learning, scientific research methods, and political and strategic analysis.<\/h4>\n

              The educational process is further supported by academic seminars, scientific workshops, field visits, and practical applications, contributing to the development of students\u2019 analytical and research capabilities, enhancing their skills in understanding and analyzing political and strategic issues, and preparing them to effectively engage in the fields of employment, public service, and governmental and non-governmental institutions after graduation.<\/h4>\n

One ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of the student\u2019s academic workload.<\/h4>\n
