Assistant Lecturer Ansam Salim Mahdi from our college participated on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the Fifth International Scientific Conference organized by the “Iqraa Center for Cultural and Educational Studies” under the theme “Developing Curriculum: An Educational Responsibility.” Her research paper titled “The Strategy of Idea Generation among First-Year Students” highlighted the effectiveness of active learning strategies in developing critical thinking skills, generating creative ideas, and empowering learners to find innovative solutions to challenges. These strategies stimulate students’ thinking by presenting them with situations that challenge their existing beliefs, thereby enhancing their confidence in their abilities to express, clarify, and discuss ideas. The research emphasized the role of these strategies in stimulating thinking processes, generating ideas, and promoting intellectual engagement, using various terms such as “idea showers” and “knowledge idea generation,” in addition to the concept of idea nomination.<\/p>\n
