On Monday, 2 September, 2024, a Master’s thesis at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, addressed the topic of the regional balance of power in the Arabian Gulf after 2011, studied from the perspective of the neorealism theory. The thesis was submitted by the student Ahmed Zuhair Abdul-Razzaq.<\/h4>\n

The thesis focused on the Arabian Gulf region, which has been experiencing intense regional competition among its regional powers. This competition has significantly influenced the nature of regional balancing policies, which have increasingly leaned towards offensive realism.<\/h4>\n

The thesis aimed to uncover the nature of the balancing policies of regional powers in the area according to the realism perspective, the foundations upon which these policies are based, and their effects on the regional balance of power in the region.<\/h4>\n

The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Muthanna Faiq Marai (Chair), Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Maysar Fathi (Member), Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Thanon (Member), and Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salem Ali (Member and Supervisor).<\/h4>\n

The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayyib, along with the academic and administrative assistants and several faculty members, attended part of the discussion.<\/h4>\n

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read, which included the acceptance of the thesis with the necessary modifications and the awarding of the Master’s degree to the student.<\/h4>\n
