On Monday, 23 September 2024, a Master’s thesis at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, examined the impact of cybersecurity on elections, focusing on the U.S. presidential elections as a case study. The thesis was submitted by the student Firas Amer Al-Jubouri<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The thesis aimed to clarify the direct correlation between cybersecurity and the integrity of elections. It concluded that the stronger the electoral system and the higher the level of cybersecurity, the more transparent and trustworthy the elections would be<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Salem Matar Abdullah (Chair), Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin (Member), Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Shihab Ahmed (Member), and Assistant Professor Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Hussein (Member and Supervisor)<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Part of the discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tarek Mohammed Tayeb Zahir, the Scientific Assistant Lecturer Dr. Sibhan Khairallah Al-Jubouri, and several faculty members of the college<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read, which included the acceptance of the thesis, with the necessary amendments, and the awarding of a Master’s degree to the student<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n
