With hearts filled with faith and trust in Almighty God, and with spirits both pained and hopeful at the same time, the Deanship, faculty, staff, and students of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul (along with other colleges of the second campus) held a solidarity stand with our people in southern Lebanon and Gaza for the brutal massacres they are enduring from the hateful Zionist occupation through bombing and destruction. This event took place on Wednesday, 25 September 2024.<\/h4>\n

The event began with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs’ souls. Afterward, the Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Muhammad Tayyib Zahir, delivered the second campus speech. In it, he expressed Iraq’s honorable and heroic stances, both historically and in the present, towards the central causes in Palestine and Lebanon, and Iraq\u2019s constant rejection of injustice and oppression against struggling and resisting peoples fighting for their rights. Additionally, a representative of the Iraqi Academics Union \u2013 Nineveh Branch, delivered another speech for the occasion.<\/h4>\n

The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, supervised by the university president, and followed by the deans of the colleges of Political Science, Basic Education, Law, and Legal Rights.<\/h4>\n
