On Monday, 14 October 2024, the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul met with the college\u2019s student team participating in the university’s chess championship. The purpose of the meeting was to remind the students of the importance of extracurricular activities, including cultural, literary, artistic, and sports activities, as these enrich the student, enhancing their creative and aesthetic abilities, satisfying their desires, and helping them discover their identity and self-awareness. This, in turn, has numerous benefits for both the students and the college, in the short and long term.<\/p>\n

The college’s team was represented by students Hamad Hussein Ali, Abdulilah Abdullah Fathi, and Bandar Ibrahim Mohammed, accompanied by the head of the Student Activities Division, Lecturer Dr. Omar Abdulaziz Al-Zubaidi. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Sports Unit, Assistant Lecturer Abdulkhaleq Mohammed.<\/p>\n
