The University of Mosul held its central celebration on the occasion of Victory Day on Thursday, 12 December 2024. The event was attended by members of the University Council, faculty councils, a representative of the Academics Syndicate (Nineveh Branch), and a large gathering of faculty members, staff, and students.<\/h4>\n

Representing the College of Political Science, the celebration was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Thahir, accompanied by the scientific and administrative assistants, as well as the college’s staff and students.<\/h4>\n

The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a moment of silence with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs’ souls. The Iraqi flag was then raised as the national anthem was played. Subsequently, various activities were presented, celebrating Iraq, its glories, and the heroism of its security forces across all divisions, in a manner befitting the occasion.<\/h4>\n

The celebration was organized under the directives of the esteemed Council of Ministers, sponsored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naim Abdul Yasser Al-Aboudi, and supervised and attended by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi.<\/h4>\n
