The Administrative Assistant of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin, participated in an international conference on education, peace, and politics, organized by Koya University from 16 to 19 February 2025. His participation included presenting a research paper titled: “The Role of Public Education Policies in Promoting a Culture of Tolerance in Iraq: Challenges and Solutions.”<\/em><\/h4>\n

The research discussed the role of public policies in the education sector in enhancing societal tolerance, addressing the challenges faced by these policies, and the extent to which concepts of tolerance and coexistence are integrated into educational curricula. It also presented proposals to address these challenges, including the development of curricula, training educational staff to promote values of tolerance, and adopting educational strategies that foster openness and dialogue among different societal components.<\/h4>\n

The conference was organized in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair at the University of Mosul and Ulster University in Northern Ireland, with broad participation from academics and researchers from various Iraqi, Arab, and international universities.<\/h4>\n
