Participation of Faculty Members from the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, in a Scientific Symposium Organized by the Regional Studies Center on Iraq and the International Development Road<\/h4>\n

The Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul held its 60th scientific symposium on Iraq and the International Development Road: Political, Economic, and Strategic Importance on Wednesday, 26 February 2025.<\/h4>\n

The symposium consisted of two scientific sessions, during which researchers and academics presented various research papers. From the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Dhannoun Al-Taie from the Department of International Relations participated in the first session with his research paper titled “Beyond Strategy: Adapting Securitization Strategy to the Development Road Project in Iraq.” Meanwhile, the second session featured the participation of Lecturer Saja Fattah Zidan from the Department of Public Policy with her paper titled “Iraq and the Development Road: The Influence of Political Thought on Shaping Development Policies and Achieving Economic Stability.”<\/h4>\n

The symposium aimed to monitor, study, and analyze the dimensions of the International Development Road project and its significance for Iraq and the region from political, economic, and strategic perspectives, while also attempting to foresee the project\u2019s future paths and stages of completion.<\/h4>\n

The symposium recommended strengthening Iraq\u2019s role in the International Development Road project in a way that serves its economic, political, and strategic interests at both regional and international levels.<\/h4>\n

The symposium was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and was supervised by the Regional Studies Center, in line with the Iraqi government’s ongoing efforts and focus on the project under discussion.<\/h4>\n
