The University of Mosul organized a celebration on the occasion of Iraqi National Women’s Day under the slogan: “The Iraqi Woman is the Homeland, the Refuge, and the Poem.” The event took place on Monday, 3 March 2025, under the patronage and presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, along with the deans of the university’s colleges. Representing the College of Political Science, the Women’s Affairs Committee attended the event, accompanied by several faculty members.<\/h4>\n

The celebration featured a rich program of artistic and cultural activities highlighting the role of Iraqi women in shaping society. It included a compelling theatrical performance that depicted the realities and sacrifices of women, as well as a distinguished documentary video showcasing the achievements of Mesopotamian women in both ancient and modern times. Additionally, part of the event was dedicated to a memorial video honoring the martyred women of the University of Mosul, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of knowledge and the nation.<\/h4>\n

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President honored the deans of the colleges and a select group of female staff members in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the academic journey and their role in advancing education and serving the university.<\/h4>\n
