Lecturers from the Department of Public Policy at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Dr. Mohammed Hazem Hamed and Assistant Lecturer Omar Othman Ibrahim, conducted the guidance workshop titled “Theft: Its Causes and Social Consequences” on Tuesday, 4 March 2025.<\/h4>\n

The workshop covered the definition of theft from both legal and social perspectives and outlined its various forms, ranging from petty theft to organized crime. It also examined the economic, social, and psychological factors contributing to the spread of this phenomenon, highlighting the impact of poverty, unemployment, and family disintegration on its escalation.<\/h4>\n

The workshop was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College and targeted students as part of the activities of the department\u2019s Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit.<\/h4>\n
