The Presidency of the University of Mosul held its grand celebration marking the 58th anniversary of the university\u2019s founding on the evening of Sunday, 13 April 2025. The event was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, along with several ministers, members of parliament, the Governor of Nineveh, presidents of Nineveh\u2019s universities, as well as members of the university and college councils, faculty, staff, and students.<\/h4>\n

Representing the College of Political Science, the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayeb Thahir, the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin, along with several faculty members, staff, and students from the college were in attendance.<\/h4>\n

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the torch by the University President, followed by the main event held at the Grand Theater. Afterwards, exhibitions showcasing the scientific and practical achievements of students and faculty members were opened. Meanwhile, students gathered joyfully in the gardens of the student center, where spontaneous traditional dances and chants added to the festive atmosphere of this delightful annual tradition.<\/h4>\n
