The College of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the College of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Baghdad and the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah, organized the Fifth International Agricultural Conference under the theme: “Sustainability of Food and Water Security in Iraq: Challenges and Opportunities”. The conference was held from 16 \u201317 April 2025. It was attended by several members of the University Council, deans of agricultural colleges from Iraqi universities, the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate \u2013 Nineveh Branch, as well as dozens of researchers and academics from Iraq, the Arab world, and abroad.<\/h4>\n

The College of Political Science was represented by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayeb Thahir, and the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri. Meanwhile, the Head of the Media and Government Communication Division, Senior Chief Engineer Hassan Younis Abdullah, served as the master of ceremonies at the opening session.<\/h4>\n

Ninety-five research papers were presented at the conference (both in-person and online). The conference aimed to strengthen scientific cooperation among agricultural colleges, promote the adoption of modern agricultural technologies, raise awareness on the sustainability of food security and smart agriculture, and provide a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas.<\/h4>\n
