The University of Mosul, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, hosted the Scientific Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Dhahad, who delivered a valuable lecture entitled: \u201cIraqi Scientific Research: Between Ambition and Global Ranking \u2013 Tools and Challenges\u201d on Saturday, 19 July 2025. The event was attended by members of the university and college councils.<\/h4>\n

From the College of Political Science, the lecture was attended by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jassim Al-Ta\u2019i, the Scientific Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri, and the Administrative Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin.<\/h4>\n

The lecture underscored the Ministry\u2019s direction toward using universities\u2019 inclusion in international scientific rankings as a basis for evaluation and support, aiming to advance scientific research that aspires to keep pace with global developments. It also called upon universities and academic institutions to adopt automation and governance in their scientific and administrative practices as a path toward the desired progress\u2014a goal achievable through collective cooperation and commitment to advancement.<\/h4>\n

During the event, the University of Mosul was commended for its distinguished and high-quality research that has earned a place in prominent global rankings, as well as for its continued efforts and achievements in this field.<\/h4>\n
