In implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\u2014Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals\u2014and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, the Tourism Authority \/ Department of Training and Tourism Development, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate and the General Iraqi Insurance Company, organized a workshop entitled \u201cSafety is Everyone\u2019s Responsibility\u201d on Thursday, 21 August 2025.<\/h4>\n

The event was attended by a number of specialists, officials, and stakeholders, alongside academic, administrative, and media figures. Representing the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, was present.<\/h4>\n

The workshop aimed to promote a culture of public safety and raise community awareness about the importance of preventive measures in the tourism sector, contributing to the protection of lives and property and ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for visitors to tourist sites. The event marked an important step towards activating community and institutional partnerships to establish safety as a duty and a shared responsibility.<\/h4>\n

Also in attendance was the College Council\u2019s Rapporteur, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Muaid Younis.<\/h4>\n
