In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals; the Department of Scientific Affairs at the Presidency of the University of Mosul held its first specialized workshop entitled: \u201cMechanisms of Selecting Modern Research Titles \u2013 Hot Topics using the Research Horizon Navigator \u2013 WOS tool,\u201d on Thursday, 2 October 2025. The workshop was attended by the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, along with related university scientific leaders. Representing the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Raghad Nazar Saeed participated.<\/h4>\n

The workshop discussed identifying modern research trends (Hot Topics) and using the Research Horizon Navigator tool to determine promising research fields, as well as enhancing the capacities of faculty members and researchers to select impactful titles that contribute to improving the quality of scientific publication in reputable journals.<\/h4>\n

The workshop aimed to advance the research movement at the university, increase opportunities for publishing research in internationally recognized high-ranking journals, and strengthen the university\u2019s position in academic forums locally, regionally, and internationally.<\/h4>\n
