In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal (Sixteen): Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal (Seventeen): Partnerships for the Goals; the Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul held its symposium discussing the reactivation of the \u201csnapback mechanism\u201d on Iran and its regional and international implications, on Sunday, 5 October 2025.<\/h4>\n

A number of researchers participated in the symposium\u2019s proceedings, including a faculty member from the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Thannon Al-Taie, who presented his research paper titled: \u201cThe European and American Vision toward Iran in the Twenty-First Century: A Comparative Study.\u201d<\/h4>\n

In his study, the researcher analyzed and compared the intellectual approaches shaping the strategic behavior of both actors, as well as Iran\u2019s behavior regarding its nuclear project, ambitions, and regional role. He further explored the dimensions of contradiction and convergence among European, American, and Zionist actors in dealing with the Iranian nuclear file, in addition to examining the Zionist exploitation of these contradictions and the regional and strategic environment.<\/h4>\n

The College\u2019s Dean\u2019s Office congratulated the researcher for this distinguished scientific effort, wishing him and the entire academic staff continued excellence in their scholarly, research, and academic endeavors. Godspeed.<\/h4>\n
