In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, the College organized its training course entitled: \u201cHuman Rights and Technology: Towards Protecting Privacy and Enhancing Freedoms\u201d, which took place from 5 to 7 October 2025.<\/h4>\n

The course addressed topics such as the debate over human rights between privacy and universality, the limits of digital freedom in the context of technology and social media, the role of international legislation in protecting privacy, the challenges of the digital revolution on rights and freedoms, issues of electronic surveillance, digital democracy, the impact of technological institutions on freedoms and individual privacy, as well as cybersecurity and its effects on rights\u2014highlighting the main opportunities and threats that the digital environment poses to humans.<\/h4>\n

The course was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie. Lectures were delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members, including: Unit Head Dr. Kawthar Hassan Ghazi, Dr. Mohammed Hazem Hamid, Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr, Dr. Rasha Suhail Mohammed, Shahbaa Hikmat Elias, Hadeel Nawaf Ahmed, Ahmed Faisal Ali, Assistant Lecturers Ilham Saeed Qader, Wisam Jamal Hussein, Jaafar Ghayath Al-Din Abdul Ghafoor, Mohammed Mohsen Mohammed, Ansam Saleem Mahdi, Hudhaifa Fathallah Ali, Zeinab Adel Mar\u2019i, Naba\u2019 Ezzedine Mohammed, and Zeinab Mahmoud Rasheed.<\/h4>\n

Additionally, Ms. Hiba Khalil Ismail, Director of Nineveh Education, was hosted on the opening day of the course. The training was attended over the three days by dozens of faculty members, staff, and students.<\/h4>\n
