In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 5: Gender Equality, the Women\u2019s Affairs Committee of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a workshop titled \u201cHuman Development for Enhancing Women\u2019s Participation and Representation in Political and Social Positions\u201d on Sunday, 12 October 2025.<\/h4>\n

The workshop discussed human development as an entry point to support women\u2019s roles, focusing on the right to participate in elections, and the principles of equality and justice in decision-making\u2014particularly in political participation and representation through the significance of women\u2019s voices as a form of legal guarantee and practical implementation in this regard.<\/h4>\n

Lectures were delivered by a group of the college\u2019s faculty members: Dr. Maha Ahmed Ibrahim (Head of the Committee), Asst. Prof. Shahla Kamal Abduljawad, Lecturer Hadeel Nawaf Ahmed, Asst. Lecturer Samah Suhail Behnan, and Asst. Lecturer Ilham Saeed Qadir.<\/h4>\n

The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, in cooperation with the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency and the College\u2019s Legal Affairs Division, and was attended by a group of staff members.<\/h4>\n
