In line with the Sustainable Development Goals\u2014Goal Eight: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal Ten: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions\u2014the Central Library of the University of Mosul organized its workshop titled \u201cHuman Trafficking: Sources and Impact\u201d on Sunday, 19 October 2025.
\nThe workshop included a single lecture delivered by Lecturer Saja Fattah Zaidan from the Department of Public Policy, College of Political Science.
\nHuman trafficking involves the coercive exploitation of individuals for various purposes such as forced labor, sexual exploitation, forced begging, child recruitment in armed conflicts, and organ trafficking. It also includes the use of deception, coercion, or the exploitation of victims\u2019 vulnerability.
\nThe workshop was held under the patronage of the University President and supervised by the Secretary-General of the University of Mosul Libraries, with the participation of the library staff and the university community at large.<\/h4>\n
