In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a workshop entitled \u201cFundamentals of Scientific Research and Guidelines for Writing Theses and Dissertations\u201d on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. The workshop was presented by the Head of the Department of International Relations, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamid Mousa.<\/h4>\n

The workshop covered several key topics, including originality, innovation, academic integrity, problem formulation, research questions (main and sub-questions), theories, hypotheses, evidence, proofs, and validation, among others. It also included interactive discussions that contributed to enriching the scientific research material and enhancing students\u2019 practical understanding. The workshop concluded with a discussion of its outcomes and the research skills and knowledge acquired by the participants.<\/h4>\n

This workshop is part of the university\u2019s training program for graduate students, which aims to develop research capabilities and enable students to produce robust theses and dissertations in accordance with international academic standards, as part of a continuous series of workshops totaling thirty training hours.<\/h4>\n
