In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, a university order was issued promoting Dr. Omar Hashem Thannon, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, to the academic rank of Assistant Professor, on 3 November 2025.<\/h4>\n

On this joyful occasion, the Dean of the College extends heartfelt congratulations to the aforementioned faculty member, wishing him continued excellence and success in his academic and research endeavors in service of our beloved Iraq, Mosul, and University.
