In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals\u2014Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals\u2014the Public Relations Branch of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul organized a scientific field visit to the Human Rights Commission in Nineveh Province on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.<\/h4>\n

To begin with, the Head of the Branch, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Mousa, delivered the College\u2019s address, in which he praised the role of the Commission in fostering cooperation and joint work within the Industrial\u2013Consultative Office. For his part, the Director of the Commission presented the most significant achievements of the past period, the violations that had been monitored across various fields, and the Commission\u2019s vital role in training and capacity-building in the domain of human rights.<\/h4>\n

Afterwards, the discussion session commenced, chaired by the Head of the Human Rights Unit, Lecturer Dr. Kawther Hasan Ghazi, and the Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, Lecturer Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr. The session included a series of constructive dialogues and discussions focused on promoting human rights awareness and deepening the understanding of institutional roles in the protection of rights.<\/h4>\n

The session concluded with an exchange of perspectives and proposals that enriched the scientific experience and strengthened cooperation between both sides, through submitting a set of recommendations to the relevant human-rights bodies.<\/h4>\n

The visit was carried out under the supervision of the Dean of the College, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit, the Human Rights Division (at the University Presidency), and the Studies and Planning Division and the Continuing Education Unit (at the College). The visit was attended by dozens of the College\u2019s faculty members and students.<\/h4>\n
