In support of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit (University of Mosul Presidency), the College of Political Science has resumed offering a series of awareness lectures for dormitory students. On Sunday, 23 November 2025, the College held the lecture titled: \u201cRepeated Absence from Classes and Commitment to Attendance,\u201d presented by Assistant Lecturer Wisam Jamal Hussein and Assistant Lecturer Sarah Jasem Mohammed.<\/h4>\n

The lecture aimed to shed light on the negative effects of repeated absence from lectures, particularly those related to the decline in students\u2019 academic level and weak academic achievement, in addition to its impact on academic and behavioral skills. It also explained the importance of maintaining regular university attendance as a fundamental requirement for success and academic advancement, and its role in promoting self-discipline and building an academic personality capable of facing challenges.<\/h4>\n

The activity is held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, consisting of six lectures delivered alternately by a group of the College\u2019s faculty members, according to a pre-announced schedule.<\/h4>\n
