Under the supervision of the respected Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie<\/b>, Dean of the College of Political Science, the University Psychological Counseling Unit<\/b> organized an awareness-driven seminar series as part of the guidance course titled: “The Escalation of Suicidal Ideation and Negative Thoughts Among University Youth.”<\/b> The event took place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the College\u2019s Conference and Discussion Hall.<\/h4>\n

The sessions featured the following speakers:<\/h4>\n

    Lecturer Dr. Kawthar Hassan Ghazi<\/b>: “Preventive Measures Against Suicide Phenomena Among University Students.”<\/i><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n

    Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Abdul Karim<\/b>: “Prevention and Intervention: Strategies for Curbing the Spread of Suicidal Thoughts Among University Students.”<\/i><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    Lecturer Shahbaa Hikmat Elias<\/b>: “Methods and Risks Associated with the Phenomenon of Suicide in Society.”<\/i><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n

    Assistant Lecturer Omnia Ibrahim Khalil<\/b>: “The Rise of Suicide Cases in Developing Societies: Causes and Implications.”<\/i><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
