Amid a grand public attendance that included political, academic, social, and cultural figures, the respected Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/b>, Rector of the University of Mosul, inaugurated the celebrations of the fifty-ninth anniversary of the University of Mosul at the Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jalili Hall on Wednesday evening, April 29, 2026.<\/h4>\n

The celebration commenced with the lighting of the university’s anniversary torch, followed by the recitation of the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq, the opening speech by the respected President of the University, and a speech by the respected Governor of Nineveh, the legal expert Abdul-Qadir Ahmed Hassan Al-Dakhil<\/b>. The event also featured the screening of a documentary showcasing the achievements of the University of Mosul, which beautifully blended the ancient Mosuli heritage with the prominent status of the University of Mosul within the community.<\/h4>\n
