In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning\/ Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul Presidency, the Civil Defense Division held an awareness workshop at the College of Political Science on the proper use of fire extinguishers and public safety on Thursday, 29 October 2026. The workshop included a specialized lecture delivered by Mr. Sufyan Idris Mohammed, Head of the Civil Defense Division.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The workshop discussed the types of fire extinguishers used for different categories of fires. It also addressed methods of controlling and containing fires to the greatest extent possible from the earliest stages of an incident.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of public safety, promote fire prevention, and provide guidance on the proper response to emergencies to ensure that appropriate measures are taken.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The workshop was held under the patronage of the University Presidency and attended by the Scientific and Administrative Assistant Deans, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Muayyad Younis and Professor Dr. Marwan Salim Ali, as well as dozens of the college’s staff members.<\/strong><\/h4>\n
