Regional Studies\u00a0Center at the University of Mosul held a seminar entitled \u201cGreen Education…One of the Sustainable Development Goals\u201d on February 25, 2024.<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to spread the culture of green education, introduce its importance and benefits, and its relationship to sustainable development, explain its effects on the ecosystem and society, reduce the impact of climate change, and lessen damage to the environment by preserving natural resources, which is a challenge facing the world as a whole.<\/p>\n
The seminar included a review of several axes. The first axis included introducing the goals of sustainable development, while the second axis dealt with defining the concept of green education, its importance, and its benefits. The third axis focused on the relationship of green education to sustainable development, as green education comes within the goals of sustainable development that seeks to employ advanced technology and benefit from it by focusing on raising the efficiency of the educational process and providing it with modern technologies and applications to reach practices that enhance and maintain environmental sustainability to achieve distinguished outcomes, in accordance with environmentally friendly standards, in addition to developing environmental elements that include buildings, renewable energy, afforestation, and services provided in this regard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
