Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail ,and in the presence of the President of the University of AL-Kitab Prof. Dr. Iyad AL-Barzanji, the University of AL-Kitab in cooperation with the University of Lund, Sweden, held the third international scientific conference (Women, War and Peacemaking in the Middle East) on 1-2 October 2019 in Erbil, which witnessed an active participation of Iraqi and Arab universities as well as international universities.Regional Studies Center – University of Mosul participated through presenting two papers submitted by Assistant Prof. Dr. Ziyad Abdul-Wahab Al-Nuaimi, Head of Public Policies Department, in his research entitled ” Protecting Women’s Rights within the Scope of the Convention Rules of International Humanitarian Law” ;and Dr. Bashar Fathi Jassim Al-Egeidy in his research titled “The reality of Iraqi women in the affected areas and the mechanisms for their advancement”.
