On the occasion of **International Geodiversity Day, the Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul organized a workshop titled \u201cNatural Disasters and Climate Change from a Geological Perspective\u201d<\/b> at the center\u2019s lecture hall on October 6, 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Nabil Hamdoun<\/b>, Head of the Disaster Risk Reduction Unit at the center, and attended by the center\u2019s research staff as well as guests from the College of Environmental Sciences<\/b> at the university.<\/p>\n

The lecture highlighted the impact of geodiversity<\/b> and its relationship with natural disasters and climate change, in addition to discussing scientific strategies and methods to mitigate associated risks<\/b>.<\/p>\n

This workshop is part of the center\u2019s activities for International Geodiversity Day<\/b> and reflects its ongoing efforts to promote awareness and encourage scientific research in geology and climate <\/b>change<\/b>.<\/p>\n
