In 1959, the Declaration of the Rights of the Child was followed by the establishment of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989, which addressed the legal status of children globally. Many special occasions for children are also associated with this occasion, including:
– International Day of Victims of Child Aggression on June 4th
– World Day Against Child Labor is on June 12 of each year
– International Youth Day on August 12 of each year
-International Day of the Girl Child is on October 11 of every year.
Countries also take advantage of the above international occasions to protect children and childhood through international efforts concerned with protecting them in times of peace and during armed conflicts, especially from the crime of recruiting children during conflicts and what some countries are witnessing of using children as their soldiers or using children as human shields or targeting them or threatening their right to life or Health or education. In addition, the United Nations view of childhood as a global issue. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is concerned with the issue of international child protection, as it is a specialized international organization working in 190 countries that focuses its efforts to reach the most vulnerable children everywhere. Also, a reminder of the Day Childhood is a reminder of the basic rights of the child, such as life, health, education, access to food, clothing, housing, and a family, providing the necessities of his life, creating a good environment that enables him to attend school easily without any obstacles, and focusing on not working children and using them in work that is not compatible with their age and condition, such as begging, hard and exhausting work, and providing a safe environment. For them and to enhance the role of the family in achieving their goals, as they are the foundation of societies and the pillar of their construction.
International Days Committee/
Human rights law branch/
collage of rights/
University of Al Mosul .

The twentieth of November of each year coincides with International Children’s Day, as it was declared in 1954 as a global occasion celebrated with the aim of strengthening international interdependence, raising awareness among the world’s children, and improving their well-being, as indicated by the United Nations, and the United Nations General Assembly also adopted the twentieth of November.
