Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal al-Din al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit in our college, held the scientific workshop tagged The executive procedures for the POS electronic payment system, which witnessed the submission of a number of research papers that touched on the decision of the Iraqi Council of Ministers regarding the implementation of the electronic payment system for the year 2023, indicating the government mechanisms used to end cash dealing and move to the electronic payment method, with reference to the technical and technological matters for issuing the electronic card. With an explanation of its definition, benefits, uses, features, and types, in addition to the type of data it contains, the stages of its development, and its importance in the field of financial, economic, and life transactions for the individual and the various commercial sectors, with reference to the most prominent challenges facing its use, along with an explanation of the methods and means that can be followed to protect credit card data in the event of its loss or theft. Addressing the nature of electronic payment methods, the risks to which they are exposed, their guarantees, and the obligations of the bank and the customer, since the electronic payment card is a contract that imposes legal obligations on its two parties, with reference to the civil liability arising from the use of the electronic payment card. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of the dean of the college and the members of the college council and its affiliates. From the scientific and administrative staff who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, they were answered in detail by those in charge of it. At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the Chairman and members of the preparatory committee and the researchers.
