On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, a number of our college professors and teaching staff participated in the scientific symposium entitled Community Violence and Human Rights, which took place in the College of Fine Arts, during which the College of Law professors and teaching staff presented research papers that dealt with the provisions of the Personal Status Law related to human rights. The symposium also witnessed the presentation of Research papers that dealt with sexual crimes, murders, rape, and suicide, and the role of government institutions in combating the effects of social violence. The participation of our college teachers in the work of the symposium above comes in the context of the plans of the Deanship of our college and its programs to communicate and interact with the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers in a way that contributes to spreading the legal culture among the groups of society.
