\nOn Monday, March 18, 2024, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master\u2019s thesis on the actions of others and their impact on personal status matters \/ a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of College Council members and faculty.
\nThe dissertation submitted by researcher Saroud Sawari Aziz in the private law branch dealt with the person and the extent to which he can enjoy the necessary right to undertake any personal status issue as a third party, since his actions have an impact on many issues of marriage and its dissolution and their effects. In addition, the marriage contract creates obligations under his responsibility. Spouses. It is also permissible to donate dowry and alimony from third parties, but it does not absolve the husband of his obligation, and the wife does not have the right to demand it from others, i.e. the dowry.
\nThe message aims to clarify that a third party in personal status matters is someone who does not have the authority to act legally or legally in personal status matters, or is someone who does not have any legal or legal standing in personal status matters.
