\nThe Human Rights Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, a master’s thesis on artificial intelligence and its effects on human rights, attended by a number of members of the college council and its instructors.<\/p>\n

The thesis submitted by researcher Lujain Nizar Dhunun in the Human Rights Law Branch dealt with artificial intelligence, which is one of the topics that has become increasingly important at the international level, especially since it has become an impact on human rights and basic freedoms, as any artificial intelligence technologies have become an essential part of individuals’ lives. It also came with benefits that cannot be limited in addition to the risks it poses if left unregulated.<\/p>\n

The thesis aims to show that artificial intelligence technologies are one of the manifestations of scientific progress and can be considered a human right and aims to perform many tasks quickly and accurately. It is also characterized by its ability to innovate solutions and make decisions instead of humans in many cases.
