Master’s thesis on the role of social media in civil evidence \/ comparative study,,,<\/div>\n
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the Private Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the role of social media in civil evidence \/ comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its lecturers.<\/div>\n
The thesis submitted by the student Abdul Qader Fawaz Farhan in the Private Law Department dealt with social media, which is one of the modern terms, and what results from it in terms of creating personal accounts and pages, in addition to the many services provided by social media to the user, including that it has become a wide and fertile space for concluding various legal transactions, whether civil, commercial or personal status, and the resulting issues related to the burden of proof, as well as the extent of its acceptability in light of the general principles of proof and its impact, i.e. the principles on its legitimacy.<\/div>\n
The message aims to show the lack of agreement in jurisprudence and judiciary to define the term social media, as well as the lack of agreement to determine the legal classification of social media, and that Iraqi legislation violated other legislation by requiring an electronic signature on the electronic message. The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Fares Ali Omar, and the membership of Professor Dr. Al-Ansari Hassan Muhammad and Professor Dr. Ajyad Thamer Nayef, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Saja Omar Shaaban.\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
