The Moot Court practical training activities for third-year students have begun. This is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to connect theory with practice and prepare students for the job market.
\nThe training aims to create a realistic simulation of judicial procedures, where students participate in role-playing as judges, lawyers, court clerks, experts, and disputing parties in selected civil and criminal cases.
\nSkill Development
\nDr. Muhammad Abbas Hamoudi, the professor supervising the criminal practice, stated that “this step aims to enhance students’ skills in legal research, drafting memoranda, pleading techniques, and the practical application of judicial procedures, which better prepares them for their professional lives after graduation.”
\nStudent Interaction
\nStudent performance is evaluated by a specialized faculty, as well as judges and lawyers, and immediate feedback is provided to correct errors and enhance performance, contributing to raising their practical competencies.
\nA Step Towards Excellence
\nThis applied court represents a qualitative shift in the college’s teaching methods and underscores the University of Mosul’s commitment to graduating legal cadres capable of contributing to building a state of institutions and the rule of law.<\/p>\n
