\u201cConstitutional Transformations in Iraq: A Legal Reading of the Centenary of the Iraqi Constitution.\u201d
\nThis seminar was held within the framework of implementing the National Security Strategy program and was attended by a group of faculty members and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n
The seminar featured several lectures, beginning with a presentation by Professor Dr. Sivan Bakrad Mesrop entitled: \u201cConstitutional Transformations and Their Impact on the Political Reality in Iraq.\u201d In her lecture, she highlighted constitutional developments and their relationship to the current political structure.<\/p>\n
Following this, Professor Dr. Mohammed Ezzat Fadel presented his lecture entitled: \u201cThe Nature of Constitutional Stability Among Iraqi Constitutions from 1925 to the Current Constitution of 2005.\u201d In his lecture, he discussed the stages of constitutional development and the impact of political circumstances on the drafting of constitutional texts. Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Falih Ahmed addressed the topic of \u201cConstitutional Changes in Shaping Social Peace\u201d in her lecture, highlighting the importance of constitutional texts in promoting the principles of civil peace and supporting social cohesion.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded with a lecture by Dr. Nagham Abdul-Sattar Hussein Hassan Ahmed entitled \u201cDrawing Inspiration from Comparative Experiences in Peacebuilding,\u201d in which she discussed influential international models that can be utilized in building a robust system of constitutional stability.<\/p>\n
The workshop was held in Dr. Layla Sabah Hall on Sunday, November 9, 2025, and featured extensive scholarly discussions that enriched the topic and emphasized the importance of studying constitutional transformations as a necessity for building a stable and balanced political system.<\/p>\n
