In the interest of the presidency of the University of Mosul, represented by Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, to build bridges of scientific and academic communication with the community of its various categories and segments, and in an effort by the Deanship of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul to spread the legal culture, the International Days Committee in the Human Rights Law branch has been shedding light on On the international days related to the life of the individual and society, and from these days the International Day of Widows, where the United Nations celebrates the International Day of Widows on June 23 of each year with the aim of making their voices heard, introducing their experiences and providing the support they need. Women struggle after losing a partner in order to secure many basic needs And the protection of their human rights and dignity, and the College of Law at the University of Mosul believes in the multiple needs of a widowed woman who lost her partner, and from this standpoint, she stresses the need to provide information to widows regarding their access to their legitimate rights, which many referred to.of the internal laws regarding inheritance, pensions and social protection, as well as their right to decent work, equal pay, education and training opportunities, to enable them to support themselves and their families<\/p>\n

The waves of displacement, displacement and armed conflicts that the world witnessed, as well as the spread of epidemics, especially the Corona pandemic, have negatively affected an increase in the number of widows under unfavorable economic and social conditions.
