The workshop was held at the College of Tourism Sciences on Sunday, December 30, 2025, in the college hall.<\/p>\n
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the heads of the academic departments, as well as faculty members and students. The workshop addressed the definition of administrative corruption and its most prominent manifestations and forms within institutions. It also discussed its negative effects on institutional performance and public services, and reviewed the legal frameworks adopted in Iraq and the mechanisms used to combat corruption from a legislative and administrative perspective, contributing to building a transparent and effective work environment.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded with the Dean of the College honoring the lecturers in recognition of their scholarly efforts and contributions to raising awareness about the dangers of corruption and ways to mitigate it within educational institutions.<\/p>\n
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals that the university strives to support, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Promoting legal awareness and combating corruption are fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable development within educational and community institutions.<\/p>\n
