The Human Rights Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law, and as part of the program launched by the Human Rights Division at the University of Mosul Presidency, in coordination with the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights \/ Nineveh Office, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Cultural Specificity in the Constitutional Regulation of Rights and Freedoms.”<\/p>\n

The workshop lectures were delivered by Dr. Nagham Luqman, Director of Publication, Education, and Training at the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights. In her lecture, she addressed the concept of cultural specificity and its impact on drafting constitutional provisions related to rights and freedoms, as well as clarifying the challenges facing the achievement of balance between international standards and societal specificities.<\/p>\n

The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students, as well as audience interaction through interventions and discussions that enriched the workshop’s themes and contributed to enhancing legal awareness of human rights.<\/p>\n

The workshop was held in the Moot Court Hall, precisely at 10:00 AM, on Sunday, April 6, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
