Dealing in Foreign Currency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">In the presence of the President of the University of Mosul,\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">, and the President of the University of Nineveh,\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">, the College of Law at the University of Mosul held, on\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">Thursday, 9 July 2026<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">, the defense of the doctoral dissertation entitled\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">&#8220;Legal Aspects of Banks&#8217; Dealing in Foreign Currency \u2013 A Comparative Study&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">, presented by the student\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">Ahmed Abdullah Hadi Abdullah Al-Hankawi<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">, under the supervision of\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"\">Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim Ali<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The dissertation examined the legal framework regulating banks&#8217; dealing in foreign currency, analyzed its legal nature and the oversight imposed upon it, as well as the liability of banks in the event of breach of legal controls, through a comparative study between Iraqi, Egyptian, Emirati, and British legislation, thereby contributing to the development of the legislative and regulatory system and enhancing confidence in the banking sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The dissertation aimed to establish the legal framework for banks&#8217;
