It also examined the most prominent legal problems that arise when there are multiple owners of rights in a work, patent, or other intellectual property rights, and the extent to which the provisions of co-ownership in civil law can be applied to them, while highlighting legislative shortcomings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The dissertation adopted the comparative approach, by comparing the position of the Iraqi legislator with a number of legislations, particularly Egyptian, Algerian, Moroccan, and American, culminating in a set of findings and proposals aimed at addressing legislative gaps and regulating the provisions of co-ownership in intellectual property rights more clearly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The examination committee consisted of Professor Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Mohammed as Chairperson, with the membership of Professor Dr. Habib Idris Isa, Professor Dr. Mohammed Siddiq Mohammed, Professor Dr. Ra&#8217;ida Mohammed Mahmoud, Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Yassin, and Professor Dr. Duha Mohammed Saeed as a member and supervisor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">This discussion comes within the framework of supporting scientific research and enhancing specialized legal studies, contributing to the development of legislative treatment of emerging issues in the field of intellectual property rights.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The College of Law \u2013 University of Mosul witnessed, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the defense of the doctoral dissertation submitted by researcher Dalia Saleh Ghazi Al-Tikriti, titled\u00a0&#8220;Co-ownership in Intellectual Property Rights \u2013 A Comparative Study&#8221;, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Duha Mohammed Saeed Al-Nu&#8217;man.
