The Minister of Education chairs a broad meeting at the University of Mosul
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, chaired a meeting at the University of Mosul with the University Council and heads of departments, in the presence of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat, and the heads of universities in Nineveh Governorate.
During the meeting, he stressed the importance of the faculty and their active role in developing the level of universities and strengthening their academic performance and functions in teaching, scientific research and community service.
He explained that universities have a very important impact on the development of knowledge in general, enhancing it among students, developing their capabilities, and reducing the effects of exceptional circumstances. The Minister of Education expressed his confidence in universities in achieving educational requirements and activating applied research for faculty and researchers, especially those that meet the needs of society, stressing the granting of non-exclusive powers to universities and ministry formations and working in a team spirit.
The Minister of Education listened to the interventions, opinions and suggestions of a number of teachers, heads of departments and assistants regarding a range of university affairs.
