Within the continuing education curriculum of the College of Science, the Department of Geology in our College concluded its scientific course entitled “Geothermal Energy – Its Sources and Utilization” The course, which took place in cooperation with the Mining Department of the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, was delivered by (Diaa Ghawi Saleh) and ( Dr. Radwan Khalil Haider) from the Department of Geology, and( Dr. Ezzedine Saleh Al-Jawadi) from the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. Where the course focused on geothermal energy as an alternative to other types of energy, which is a new and renewable energy, and it can be used in the generation of electric power as well as for the purpose of heating in countries with relatively low temperatures. .
