In the branch of Organic Chemistry, the thesis submitted by the student &#8216;Vian Younis Sulaiman&#8217; and dealt with methods for the preparation of some cyclic ketone compounds through the kleisen-Schmidt condensation mechanism. It started from 1-indanone or 1-tetralone to prepare the medium (galcone) and then reacted it with multiple compounds to prepare new unsaturated cyclic ketone compounds at the Alpha-Beta site.
