{"id":38366,"date":"2023-11-05T08:53:06","date_gmt":"2023-11-05T08:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/science\/?p=38366"},"modified":"2023-11-05T08:53:54","modified_gmt":"2023-11-05T08:53:54","slug":"scientific-field-trip-by-the-department-of-geology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/science\/2023\/11\/05\/scientific-field-trip-by-the-department-of-geology\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientific Field Trip by the Department of Geology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, November 2, 2023, a scientific field trip for the second year students of the Geology department was organized to the governorate of Duhok.<br \/>\nUnder the direct supervision of the dean of the college Dr. Hiyam Adil Ibrahem and the follow-up of the head of the department of Geology, Dr. Omar Ahmed Moloud, a group of professors &amp; students from the second year went on a scientific trip to selected places in Duhok suburbs such as Fatha, Blasby, Afana, Al-Jirkas, Khurmala, Kuloush, Sharanesh and Bakhma formation.<br \/>\nThis trip aimed to give the students a comprehensive explanation of the geological formations that are exposed within the folds of the mentioned zones.
